BlueQubit Launches "Quantum Flywheel" Grant Program to Advance Quantum Computing with AWS, IBM, and NVIDIA Accelerated Computing

SAN FRANCISCO— September 14, 2026BlueQubit announced the open call for its Quantum Flywheel grant program, a $150,000 initiative created with support from IBM,Amazon Web Services (AWS), and NVIDIA accelerated computing. The three-monthprogram provides research teams with cloud compute credits for QPU, CPU, andGPU resources, along with access to frontier AI models and BlueQubit’squantum-native development environment.

While frontier AItools now allow scientists to draft complete experimental pipelines in hours,access to expensive hardware remains a bottleneck to testing and validatingthese hypotheses. Quantum Flywheel removes this barrier, enabling acceleratedquantum computing research aimed at producing publishable preprints,open-source repositories, and reproducible benchmark data.

The programinvites proposals designed to address fundamental scientific challenges acrossthree areas. Teams will develop and test novel quantum algorithms on IBMquantum computers, targeting quantum advantage in simulation, optimization, andother areas where classical methods cannot easily compete. Researchers willalso conduct adversarial classical simulation, using tensor networks,Pauli-path methods, and other classical heuristics to stress-test publishedquantum advantage claims. Additionally, proposals will explore using frontierAI agents to discover, decode, and evaluate novel quantum error-correctioncodes aimed at mitigating hardware noise.

Selected teamswill receive direct access to high-performance classical supercomputing,including NVIDIA GPU instances on AWS and large core CPU machines viaBlueQubit's simulation platform. This platform ensures end-to-end support fromcode generation to QPU execution on IBM quantum computers. By pairing AI-drivenquantum circuit design with real hardware access, researchers can advancefundamental quantum information science and establish open, reproduciblebenchmarks for the global scientific community.
